Message from Superintendent Dr. Alfred

I would like to thank our students, parents, and community members for all of their support during this challenging school-year. With each of you, we have overcome every obstacle and have kept the safety of our students and staff as the number one priority.

2021-2022 Online Registration

Elementary School District 159 is in the process of migrating to a new student information system. The online registration system is a part of the migration process. As soon as the registration module has been migrated and tested, we will announce when online registration will open. Continue to visit the districts website for updates.

Colin Powell Middle School 2021 Graduation

The Colin Powell Middle School 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony, which will take place on Monday, May 24th at 6PM, the event will be live-streamed. Click on the "Colin Powell Middle School 2021 Graduation" link to view event. Summer School

Summer School begins on Wednesday, June 2nd and will be held from 8:40 am until 12:30 pm (K-5th) and 8:00 am until 11:50 am (6th–8th) on Monday-Thursday. Summer School will end on Wednesday, June 30th.

Pre-K For All Registration

Pre School For All Screenings are scheduled for June 1-3, 2021, at WG! Families will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment with our Staff, following all safety protocols due to Covid-19.

Welcome Back

Welcome Back! Hybrid Learning Model begins on Monday, March 29th. Group A students will attend school on Mondays and Wednesdays. Group B students will attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Elementary School begins at 8:40 a.m. Middle School begins at 7:40 a.m.

COVID-19 Health Services Plan and Resources for Parents

As we prepare to return to school in a hybrid model after having been out of school since March of 2020, there are new guidelines that have been put into place for the safety and well-being for all returning to campus in a pandemic. Only those participating in hybrid on campus learning, will be required to electronically sign the self certification agreement and complete CrisiGo. Click on link for more information.

Town Hall Meeting

On April 6th, a referendum for the new Community STEM Center will appear on the election ballot. To ensure that we provide accurate and transparent information to our community, we are hosting a town hall meeting on Monday, March 22nd at 6pm.
